Wigiwama is proud to announce that its multifunctional modular soft chair, the Flipster, has been recognised in the “Excellent Product Design – Furniture” category at the German Design Awards 2026. The award ceremony took place in Frankfurt am Main, bringing together the international design community to celebrate innovation, creativity and outstanding design.

Since 2012, the German Design Awards have honoured products and concepts offering smart, forward-thinking solutions to today's challenges, bringing global excellence to the stage. Every year, thousands of entries from over 60 countries are submitted, making the awards a truly global platform for brands and designers who recognise the power of design as a strategic tool.

The Flipster stood out thanks to its clear Bauhaus-inspired aesthetics, its multifunctional, modular construction and its thoughtful balance between form and comfort. Designed to fit seamlessly into modern interiors, the Flipster can easily be transformed from a chair into a bed or play area, encouraging children to explore and develop their cognitive and emotional skills, while remaining equally comfortable and elegant for adults.

This award is a testament to the passion, craftsmanship and creative vision of the Wigiwama team. We are deeply grateful to the German Design Council and the jury for this wonderful recognition. It motivates us to continue designing with care, imagination and purpose, creating pieces that support families, nurture creativity and cultivate good taste from an early age.
