Wigiwama Pet Collection: the Family Just Got Bigger

Meet the Wigiwama Pet Collection – design-led pet furniture made for dogs, cats and the homes they share with us. Discover the story behind our Pet Club Chair and Pet Snuggle Bed, inspired by Wigiwama’s iconic Beanbag Chair and created with comfort, durability and family living in mind.

"We realised it had already become one of our most popular products among pets," laughs Anastasia, the founder of Wigiwama. "So instead of trying to stop them, we thought: why not make one that's actually theirs?"

Designed by Feedback From Cats and Dogs

If you've ever shared your home with a dog or a cat, you already know this: they rarely use the bed you carefully bought for them. Instead, they settle wherever they like – your favourite armchair, the sofa, or a pile of freshly folded laundry. They know exactly what comfort feels like – for them.

It didn't take long for Wigiwama to notice this pattern. The first hints came from the community itself – photos of cats and dogs happily taking over Beanbag Chairs. "We realised it had already become one of our most popular products among pets," laughs Anastasia, the founder of Wigiwama. "So instead of trying to stop them, we thought: why not make one that's actually theirs?"

It was one of those ideas that felt obvious once we started paying attention. Rather than seeing it as just a funny and heartwarming coincidence, we took it as design feedback from family members who would never pretend to like an uncomfortable chair. That's how the Pet Collection began.

Designed for four legs (and good taste)

Once the idea was clear, the next question was simple: how could pet furniture feel unmistakably Wigiwama? The answer wasn't to invent something completely new, but to adapt what already worked.

One of the most "stolen" pieces in family homes – the iconic Beanbag Chair – became the inspiration for the Pet Club Chair: a smaller version created with the same relaxed comfort, but with a four-legged user in mind. Alongside it, the Pet Snuggle Bed brings another take on everyday pet comfort, combining softness, thoughtful details, and a small twist: a reversible design that lets you switch between two colour combinations whenever you fancy a change. Both pieces are scratch-resistant and pet-proof tested, because style still has to hold up to real life with a real pet .

"Actually, we weren't trying to design 'pet furniture'," says Anastasia. "We wanted to design Wigiwama furniture that just happened to be for pets. It’s something you'd choose for your home first – and your dog or cat would love it just as much. Pets may not care about aesthetics, but the people who live with them often do."

Pet Club Chair: miniature version for four legged friends

The Pet Club Chair is a luxury designer dog bed born from the most stolen piece of furniture in family homes – the Wigiwama Beanbag Chair. Built with a handle so it travels as easily as your pet does, from the living room to the car and everywhere in between. Covered in soft, curly teddy fabric with a bouclé-style texture, scratch-resistant and pet-proof tested to BS 8479, it's made to live where your pet lives. Inside, recycled polyester fibre keeps it cushioned and comfortable without losing its shape over time. The outer cover and inner mattress are both removable and washable, because real pet life requires it.

Pet Snuggle Bed: classic with a twist

The Pet Snuggle Bed is a luxury designer dog bed you actually want visible in your home. Made from soft, curly teddy fabric with a bouclé-style texture that's scratch-resistant and pet-proof tested to BS 8479, it's built to handle whatever your dog brings to it. The bed is reversible — flip it to switch between two colour combinations for the inner cushion whenever you feel like a change. Inside, recycled polyester fibre keeps it soft enough to sink into and structured enough to hold its shape over time. The cover is removable and machine washable, because real pet life requires it.

Kids and Pets, Same Wigiwama Palette

Pets don't really have a room of their own. They move through our lives just as naturally as we do – napping beside us while we work, waiting in the kitchen while dinner is cooking, following us from one room to the next. They become part of our everyday routines, little rituals, and family memories.

That's the idea the Pet Collection is really built around: not a separate corner for the pet, but a piece that belongs in the spaces the whole family already shares. It also comes in the very same palette as the children's collection – which was not an accident. There's something quietly satisfying about a family that coordinates, humans and pets included.

For Anastasia, the collection carries one more personal meaning. "In some way, it's a little promise to my daughter," she says. "She's been dreaming about having a dog for years. Maybe this collection is the first step towards making that dream come true."

Growing Room for Four More Paws

Wigiwama has always grown alongside families. Sometimes that means making room for growing children. And sometimes, it simply means making room for four more paws
